Brief History

Established in 1980, Omnet, Inc. developed and built the world's first virtual collaborative environment, based on a commercial store-and-forward electronic mail network.

Today, Omnet does information systems consulting, and builds and manages communications environments. We have worked with over twenty different government agencies and many professional associations.

Omnet's experience allows us to provide intranet/extranet services, applications, support, and management. We develop such collaborative community-building functions and tools as bulletin boards, shared multi-authored document virtual workspaces, and systems for document submission, review, tracking, publication. We specialize in remote image acquisition, manipulation, management, and access, and take pride in our superb end user and group support.
